The challenge
Sultan outfits some of the most prestigious cruise ships and mega yachts, with crews working on sites all over the world. Coordinating the field workforce was complex: clock-ins, clock-outs and breaks — including ones logged by the site foreman for the whole crew — expense reports and hourly pay, a calendar of jobs and installations, PPE management for site access, sending documents and messages to everyone or to single crews and people, all the way to signing off on internal documents.
A tailored approach
We built a vertical system around Sultan's on-site processes, with one firm design constraint: it had to work anywhere, even where there is no signal — on board while sailing, or in interior compartments. So we developed native iOS and Android apps designed to run normally even offline, syncing once a connection is back.
The solution
The system brings together the jobs-and-installations calendar, hours management and reporting, document exchange and communications. The foreman can clock in for the whole crew; each person receives targeted documents and messages and can apply a handwritten read-receipt signature straight from the app. No third-party integrations: a self-contained ecosystem that Sultan fully owns.
The results
Communication and document exchange became far simpler, and hour tracking is now reliable even for a team of around 50 people with high turnover — all while keeping infrastructural solidity and full ownership of data and project.
Could your company use a system like this?
If you have crews working in the field, even where there's no network, we can give you a system that truly works anywhere. Let's talk.
